Lucas Bar - Fri 29^th May 4.30pm

Without doubt, this has been the most innovative trad session format to come to Ennis. Established in May 2015 by the noted Clare piper, Blackie O’Connell, it is a session of pipers, which takes place each Friday in Lucas’ Bar at 4.30pm. The sessions have featured many great and well known pipers, including the late Cyril O’Donoghue, who complemented the power of the pipes with his wonderful bouzouki playing and singing. There is nothing quite like hearing the sound of the music of up to ten pipers, up and down the streets around Lucas’ Bar.
