O'Connell - The Liberator Concert

GLÓR - Sunday 24th May, 8pm

Ticket €24 + €1 Booking fee

Produced, written and directed by Diarmuid de Faoite, with musical direction by Geraldine Cotter, O’Connell is a vivid, unvarnished and deeply engaging portrait of Ireland’s greatest political giant. Through music, narration, song and movement, the performance brings audiences from the Courts of Versailles to Westminster, from the French Revolution to the Young Ireland Movement — tracing the great struggles of Emancipation, Abolition and Repeal.

This unique production weaves together narration, traditional music, choral performance, piping and dance to create a concert experience unlike any other.
