Join us for the 50th Aifreann Fleadh Nua Celebration!

We are thrilled to announce this year's 50th Aifreann Fleadh Nua, set to take place on Sunday, June 2nd, at 11:30am in the Cathedral. This special milestone event promises to be a joyous celebration of traditional Irish music and culture.

For those interested in adding their voices to the Fleadh Nua Choir, a preparatory workshop will be held on Saturday, June 1st, from 10am to 11am in the Maria Assumpta Hall. Led by Fiona Walsh, Cathedral Choir Director, this workshop is open to everyone. Traditional singers will guide the choir through the hymns and responses, creating a harmonious blend of voices.

Additionally, musicians are invited to join the Trad Group. Led by Therese McInerney, Clare FM, the group will play lively selections of jigs and reels before and during the mass, further enhancing the celebratory spirit of the event.
